In a minimalist big top set, her red nose in place, the conductor steps onto the stage.
With a vivid salute, she adjusts her jacket: on with the muu...zik!
But what about harmony? That will have to be found, as her little orchestra has only one musician.
This short show features two friendly, naive clowns who travel the world with only their piano bench and musical instruments as luggage. Set in a bespoke musical universe, the two characters move acrobatically to the tune of their instruments. Juggling, hand balancing, hand to hand: the unexpected and creativity become the score of a unique symphony.
With this creation, Cirkoscopik is reappropriating the art of clowning in the style of the golden age of clowns, from 1850 to 1970. Inspired by Grock, the Fratellinis and Charlie Chaplin, the artists revive this timeless figure. By combining tradition and contemporary circus, they breathe new life into a discipline that is seeking a renaissance on today's stages.
