Cirkoscopik - Emma Verhaeghe and Joaquim Verrier

In 2016, Emma Verhaeghe (Belgium) and Joaquim Verrier (France) met at the preparatory school Balthazar in Montpellier. It was a great artistic match! Barely had they had time to get to know each other when they flew off to Montreal to attend the National Circus School.
There, an idea took shape: to create their own company. It would be Cirkoscopik, their little circus laboratory.
They fell in love with clowning, which they explored with masters of the genre: Yves Dagenais, Jesse Dryden, Rénald Laurin, Jérémy Vitupier...
In 2022, they joined Les Foutoukours to create Nova. The show captivated audiences and won numerous stars at the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe. This adventure revealed to them the full emotional power of clowning.
After a whirlwind tour of Quebec, they returned to Europe and joined the 2025 season of Circus Monti, under the direction of Andreas Manz and Bernard Stöckli.
